The UMPSA Career Centre (UMPSACC), formerly known as the Career Placement & Development Centre (CPDC), was officially established on 1 August 2015 under the Industrial & Community Networking Department (JJIM). Its formation marked a significant step in strengthening the university’s career development initiatives, providing structured support for students and graduates in areas of career guidance, placement, and industrial training.
Over time, the Centre experienced several organisational transitions. At one stage, it operated as a stand-alone unit reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, reflecting its strategic importance. It was later placed under the Graduate Development Department, aligning its functions with employability and student development initiatives.
Currently, the Centre has been rebranded and reinforced as the UMPSA Career Centre (UMPSACC) under the Student Affairs & Alumni Department (JHEPA). With this strategic positioning, UMPSACC continues to serve as the primary hub for career development, equipping students with the necessary skills, opportunities, and resources to succeed in their professional journey and beyond
